This Thanksgiving will be the first time I've ever hosted a holiday. At my house. On my own. I'm actually really excited. My biggest fear: that 75% of our guests will find themselves parked on the edge of our rug with their appetizers in their lap. Because we currently have 13 people invited for dinner and comfortable seating for only 4 in our living room.
One possible solution is to complete a project I've had on my to-do list for years. Reupholster some antique chairs. The furniture would look fabulous in our early twentieth century home and would be a more affordable option than buying new. Plus, it's really green, which is never a bad thing.
I love how you can easily incorporate it into a modern design. I suppose this means I'll just have to do some antique store browsing soon. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
