I may be finding flour in the nooks and crannies of my kitchen for the next few weeks. Yesterday I spent a good chunk of time in there baking: Halloween sugar cookies, cake and scones. And my boy helped (hence the flour in hidden places). I love to bake so I really didn't mind all the time by the warm oven. Which is good, because today has powdered sugar doughnuts and assembling these Bakerella cake pops on the agenda. I think they may be the cutest party treat I've ever seen.
So...why all the baking? Tomorrow I'm throwing my sister a baby shower for her first little one. It's a girl! The shower is centered around a cherry blossom theme. It's so fun and frilly and pink! I'll have all the details for you on Monday. Until then, you must see these posts over at the Bakerella website. She has a cake pop for every occasion - and they're all adorable. But the one I think you'll like the most are the wedding cake pops. They start with a recipe and end with...a proposal! It almost made me cry. I love romance.
Be sure to see whether or not she said yes and the background story behind it all, too. Oh, and those Halloween sugar cookies...those were just for us.

My internet is back. So that means I'm back. And I have to tell you I couldn't help but talk out loud (to no one) about how awesome all those cake pops are! And pie pops and cheesecake pops! Holy cow! These are probably the greatest idea I've ever seen! AND I feel like I can totally make them! You'll have to let me know how yours turn out! Tell you sister hello for us! Seriously, the cutest things ever!!!!

I just love Bakerella! I even tried making her Hello Kitty cake pops a couple months ago.
