And when I do it'll be because I had this book backing me up. Last night, as I was trying my hand at the cauliflower soup Sunday Suppers served at their Fall Harvest dinner, I realized I was missing a key ingredient: sage. Uh oh. What's a simple soup without an herb to spice it up? Then I remembered the book my husband gave me last Christmas - The Flavor Bible.
This book is full of every ingredient you can think of - then lists off how to cook it and what other ingredients to pair with it. It's quickly becoming the most used reference book I own. Thanks to page 97 I was able to save the soup with some bay leaves and ground coriander, which really do pair delightfully with cauliflower. In the past it's helped me give new life to leftovers and even invent a few dishes from scratch. The Flavor Bible has a solid spot carved out on my shelf for years to come.

You just helped me figure out the perfect gift for my great aunt. Thanks! I had no idea this book existed.
