Happy Earth Day! Are you doing anything to mark the event? If the rain lets up here the little one and I may head outside to remove overgrowth and otherwise beautify our backyard. I will be doing one other thing, too: purchasing some reusable bags for grocery shopping. I've been wanting to do so for awhile and figured today is the perfect day to follow through. Here are some of my favorites from across the web.
{milk and butter tote, $20; baggu bag, $8; gold fish tote, $19.99; flip and tumble, $9; organic string bag, $6.95; moustache tote, $19.99; disco lemonade tote, $15}
I love the screen printing on the canvas totes, the overall look and expandability of the mesh bag and the other colorful options available. Also, the ones that roll or fold up into a tiny package that fits into a purse (this and this) are undeniably convenient.
I'm excited to start bringing my own bags. It's nothing groundbreaking where I shop; in fact, they offer a discount off my shopping bill whenever I bring my own. Plus, I'll know that I'm doing my part and won't have to feel the pang of guilt every time they ask, "paper or plastic?"
What are you doing to celebrate Earth Day?
