Hello, my dears! How are you doing today? Did you have a lovely weekend? We hosted a little dinner with a few old friends, grilling up a batch of these delicious jamaican jerk burgers, and got together with some family the following night to play ball and chat into the long summer evening. It was the perfect way to kick off summer, now that school is out and the sun has started to shine more often.
Just this morning, when Brady and I went out to water and tend to the garden the sunshine had another little surprise for us: the first of our seeds have started to sprout! A cucumber, a few peas and even one bean plant. Having never gardened from seed before, it was a pretty exciting discovery and makes me feel that we must be doing something right. I can't wait to watch them grow and spend more time out back this summer.
And aren't these greenhouse images from Ikea Home just perfect? I love how the stainless steel-topped potting table and their idea for storing seeds in tiny colored jars. Perhaps a stopper in the top would keep them safe from accidental moisture.
Are you growing a garden this year? What are you excited to see starting to grow this summer?
